Sapa is a popular destination of Vietnam tours. Sapa is a delightful French hill station built in the early years of the century and one of the most beautiful in Vietnam. High in the mountains of northwestern Vietnam, Sapa offers great hiking and a kaleidoscope of ethnic groups.

Full Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi - Overnight Train to Lao Cai
Go to Hanoi train station for the overnight train journey from Vietnam's capital city to the border town of Lao Cai. The train departs at 21:15 pm. (No transfer, no meal included)

Day 2: Sapa - Tavan ( Lunch, Dinner )

Arrive early in Lao cai at 06 00 am, get picked up by shuttle bus, drive up the spectacular Sapa pass, which is 1300 m high, 33 km long. The bus ride uphill give a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. Arrive Sapa in the morning; have some free time to wander around, exploring this beautiful multi-ethnic town.
At 10:00am, start trekking down the Muong Hoa valley. Stop for a picnic lunch, then continue to Ta Van village of the Dzay minority people for a unique home stay experience.
Trekking distance: 12 km / 4 - 5hours

Day 3: Tavan - Giang Ta Chai - Ban Ho ( Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner )

Farewell to the family after breakfast, continue trekking along local paths, up and down rice terraces and into the villages and homes of the local hill tribes, the Dzays, the Dzaos, the Hmongs, the Tays. Picnic lunch by the stream before moving on to Ban Ho. Overnight with the Tay hill tribe family.
Trekking distance: 13 km / 4 - 5hours

Day 4: Ban Ho – Sapa - Hanoi ( Breakfast )

Short trek to the dirt road for the jeep ride back to Sa Pa. Free afternoon to explore Sa Pa town, with great shopping in the market. Transferred by shuttle bus in the late afternoon to Lao Cai for the train trip to Hanoi. Train at 20 h15 pm.
Trekking distance: 7 km / 2 hours.

Day 5: Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi at 05 30 am. Back to hotel.(no transfer)
