Day 1: HCMC – drive to Cantho – board the Bassac ( Lunch, Dinner )
Board the Bassac at 12:00 noon with a welcome drink; You are presented the ship, then check into your cabin. The Bassac weighs anchor and sets sail downstream the Second Branch of the Mekong, and a classic Vietnamese lunch is served on the panoramic deck. Upon arrival at Tra On, the Bassac strolls near the village-sized floating market before enterin Nicolai canal, in a scenery of sugar canes and artisanal cane refining factories.
At coffee time, the Bassac exits the canal into the winding Mang Thit river, then casts anchor in the middle of the green and floats its longboat to take you for a stroll past the first tree lines and to the rice fields, then stop for some fruit at a rural home, a taste and feel of the simplicity and welcome of the Mekong people.
Upon boarding back, with a refreshment, the Bassac resumes her journey as the sun sets, and into the night, an opportunity to appreciate how life changes but does not stop at night on the river. Meet the crew, then get seated for a dinner of simple Mekong specialties before the Bassac casts anchor near the Co Chien islands for the night.

Day 2: Sunrise Cruise – Cai Be Floating Market ( Breakfast )
06:30 Departure towards Cai Be. The passengers take their breakfast while enjoying the scenery on the banks. The Bassac crosses Co Chien river then branches into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in a scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards. Arrival in Cai Be, check-out and boarding of a local boat for a tour of Cai Be Floating Market and handicraft.
End of services by mid-morning on shore at Cái Bè. (Breakfast)
